Hilda L. Solis is the Chair of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, representing residents of the First District. She visited the ETI to tour our facility and snap photos for the forthcoming election.
Supervisor Solis has increased the county's efforts to tackle homelessness, allocating funds to create thousands of affordable housing units in her district and around Los Angeles County. She was the originator of the ground-breaking Measure A, which aims to invest in areas that lack green space, enhance open and recreational park space in local communities, and safeguard water quality. She organized a group that advocated for communities experiencing environmental injustices near the Exide Technologies battery recycling plant, and she assisted in the removal of toxic lead from thousands of houses.
